It was in 2010 that Kuenzel Law, PLLC opened its doors. Our goal was to provide legal representation that was zealous in its advocacy, meticulous in its process, and passionate in seeking justice. We do that through our work in criminal law, family law, and personal injury cases for clients throughout the state of West Virginia.

Born and Bred in West Virginia
Attorney Robert Kuenzel is a native of West Virginia with deep roots in the community. For over three decades, he has resided in Chapmanville, located in Logan County. Prior to his legal career, Rob served as a state trooper for nearly ten years.
This invaluable experience has greatly influenced his work as an attorney. For criminal investigations, he understands that law enforcement is far from perfect. He believes in his clients, and he knows how to conduct an investigation and pinpoint where there may be weak spots in the prosecution’s case.
Furthermore, he suffered a serious back injury during his time as a police officer. That experience has given him real empathy for people who have been injured in an accident. His own misfortune worked out for the best—he went to law school. He’s committed to helping other people get the kind of financial settlement they also need to start life anew.
Meet Jill Pancake
Rob’s Administrative Assistant is Jill Pancake. Jill has a passion for helping others. Jill was born and raised in West Virginia, specifically in Logan, where she graduated from Logan High School. Jill is not just your ordinary legal assistant, she takes pride in her conversations with clients and in assisting them with their legal needs. She especially enjoys being able to assist families grow through adoption.
Jill has been with Kuenzel Law since its opening in 2010. Though Jill moved to Bridgeport, WV in 2015, she continues to remain committed to the firm. Through technology, Jill is able to work remotely several days per week but always finds time to be in the office when needed. She married her husband Jimmy in 2001 and they have one son, Trey. In her free time, you likely will catch Jill cheering on her favorite sports teams, enjoying boat days on the lake, traveling, or spending quality time with her beloved yorkie, Jax.
